Since 1987, Shridhan International has continuously grown & pioneered in the field of air vessel based water-hammer protection systems for various water-supply systems across India. We are committed to continuous improvement and growth in the field of Water engineering. Our activities have covered different types of water-supply schemes, ranging from a simple lift-irrigation scheme to a complex cooling water system of a power plant.

WHAT WE DO

At Shridhan, we cover a wide range of activities pertaining to providing water-hammer solutions. Our domain of activities are as listed below

Study of Hydraulic Transients in a system

Sizing & optimisation of Hydro-Pneumatic tanks & other protection devices

Detailed design of pressure vessels (As per IS:2825 or ASME Section VIII Codes)

Generate detailed design & drawings of hydro-pneumatic tanks, air receivers, piping layout etc.

Selection& supply of suitable auxiliary equipment & instrumentation

OUR SYSTEM

An Air-chamber based water-hammer protection system comprises of the following equipment.

Pressure Vessel

Designed to ASME Section VIII BPV Code or IS:2825 – Code for Unfired Pressure Vessels

Material conforms to boiler quality – IS:2002 & ASTM SA-516

Provisions for liquid level instrumentation, safety valve, manhole etc.

Air Receiver

Serves the purpose of an air bottle – allows maintaining the air in the pressure vessel to the set pressure

Facilitates charging and bleeding depending on rise or fall of liquid level in the chamber

Equipped with solenoid valves – output from liquid level switch operates these valves; used for charging or bleeding of air chamber

Orifice

Speeds up outflow and provides resistance to inflow of liquid

Compressor

Used to fill the air receiver to a pressure equal to working pressure

Liquid Level Instrumentation

Liquid level switch to control charging and bleeding

Magnetic level indicator for visual measurement

Liquid level transmitter for continuous measurement

Connecting Pipe

Connects the system to the main transmission line

Provided with an isolation valve& by-pass arrangement
